Chances, PLEASE!

<p>I'm applying to Wellesley ED. I absolutley loved it, and can't think of another school I'd want to go to. I'm great at essays and interviews, and I know I'll be getting fabulous rec's from my guidance counsler, my american teacher, chem teacher & art history teacher (my intended major).</p>

<p>White girl from a pretty prestigious all girls catholic prep school in NY. Freshman year I could care less about school, and now I am at the top of my class. Don't know how much that will affect me.</p>

<p>I worked 40+ hours a week over the summer at a cell phone distributor, and I will be working again this summer. I work during the year at Weight Watchers (I also lost 60 lbs during sophmore year). I will continue working there as well. This summer I'm attending a Journalism Workshop at Stanford University, as well as traveling to Italy this April & June (I don't know if I can include that nywhere).
Also, I was invited to NHS and will most likley get in.</p>

Chem SATII: 630 (Taking Lit & MathI this year).</p>

<p>Overall, I will try to emphasize my determination despite my dismal start. Also, how much my maturity level has increased.</p>

<p>you seem to have great stats but it seems as a general rule if you are white and live in MA..they most likely won't take you. They are VERY diverse and seem to take the majority of the whites from the midwest. They seem to try really hard to break away from the "rich white girl school" and they want to make it into a mentling pot of all these various clutures. ( which they have done very well) Less than half the people admitted are white.</p>
