Reach, maybe big reach. Even though your GPA and class rank are in the ball park, your SAT CR+M score is below the 25th percentile for Wash U, your ACT score is below the Wash U median, and your ECs are nothing special - no hooks. Considering the competition, it's unlikely you'll be accepted.

Your stats look good - I think you absolutely have a better-than-average chance. Scores don't mean everything (even then, they're not bad) and your strong courseload (the APs) should help a lot.

Regarding the ACT scores, I did a quick conversion based on the Wash U's published SAT scores and conversion tables at the College Board site. I estimated 31 to 34 midrange. I apologize for the miscalculation.

Only submit the ACT scores since they are in the 50% range. Your course load and GPA are fine. It is a reach for everyone when only 19% or less will be accepted. Do not fixate on one school, find several which you would be happy to attend.

WashU is a reach for you...in reality, the % accepted next year will be significantly less than 2005's 19%, thanks to the fact that this year too many freshmen matriculated, more than the admissions office was expecting. More like 15% next year, maybe?

I think you should try to improve your EC's, and if you are still thinking about trying to submit SAT scores, take the SAT one more time if you haven't already taken it a lot of times.
