Caucasian Male
Im a junior with a 3.2 uw(will change to 3.4 by the end of junior year)
im barely in the top 50%, but with my huge upward trend, by the end of this year i should at least be in the top 35%
Ide like to know my chances for
NYU CAS (number 1 choices! i want to go to either)
and NYU Gallatin (Gallitin because i want to take 5 foreign languages, and later go to grad school for education, and either become a foreign language teacehr for highschool, or like the military or somethin)</p>

Fordham

By the end of this year i should have a 3.4 uw amd 3.5 w</p>

<p>Im at a competitive public Highschool (according to Newsweek magazine it's the 673rd best highschool in the nation)</p>

<p>Im currently taking honors spanish 4 and honors pre calc.
Next year im taking (ap's and honors)</p>

<p>Japanese 4 (honors)
AP spanish 4
AP Calc AB
AP calc BC
AP chemistry</p>

<p>My extra curriculars
300+ hrs volunteer tutoring with Key club(it's what i love to do...i wantto be a teacher)
Member of FBLA
Member of Super Smash brothers club
Spanish Club
over 200+ hrs volunteer missions trips hours spent in mexico.
Courses taken at a junior college nearby
Wrestling (freshman year)
Active in Church Leadership for the last year (im one out of about 30 leaders, leading about 1200ish)
Piano- 1 year (not including school)
adn some more that i cant remember)</p>

<p>and i have a huge upward trend.</p>

<p>Im expecting a 31-32 on ACT (im pretty smart, just didnt try at the beggining of school.)
and anyone reccomend EA or ED to these schools</p>

<p>You do have a shot, based on what you say about yourself. Your ECs are good. I reccomend you to apply for Gallatin ED.</p>

<p>Plus they would probably like the fact that i want to learn a million languages and take some teaching classes.</p>

<p>And im sure ill have great essays too.</p>

<p>Ive been told that the way i write my essays is very engaging and enjoyable to read.</p>

and i read on princeton review.com that the average undergrad gpa for Gallatin is 3.4uw
which is a good thing 4 me</p>

3.45 (average 4 gallatin is 4.0)

then how.</p>

<p>you chances at NYU are not good. Unless you are a celebrity or the child of one, your GPA is too low. And everyone who applies to NYU has an extra curricular list as long as your arm. Apply any way cause you never know, but don't hold your breath. If you want to be in NYC look at Fordham, Pace, Manhattan Marymount, The New School (right in the village with NYU).</p>

Probably japanese or mandarin (ill be taking 4 + foreign languages, but ill probably major in whatever is hardest for an english speaker to learn)
im going to take japanese 4 sure, and maybe mandarin.</p>
