Rank: 39 out of 377. GPA: 4.072
3 Ap classes this year/2 honors
I’ve been taking honors ever since freshman year
my grades are very unstable. freshman year bad, sophmore year straight As, junior year mainly As (like 2 Bs or something), this year…er. 5 As, 2 Bs, one C (don’t shoot me! AP Chem is hard…)
SATs…here comes the horrible part…1640. Gasp! But I’m almost certain I’ve gone up because I retook it and the first time I was really tired.
So…yeah. You can tell me how funny it is that I’m even applying now.
Oh, and I’m African American, if that helps. And a girl.

Your GPA is so-so. A C is definitely going to hurt. I know AP Chem is hard, lol. I ended up getting an A by like .5 percents second semester, but I did get a 5 on the exam :p.
SATs are not up to standard at all. I think you should atleast get it up to a 1850 to have a decent chance, even though you are African American.
Your E/C are pretty good.

No one can tell your real chances, only the adcoms know. :)

I'm really upset because I got 1840 on the PSAT and then got 200 points less on the actual SAT! I was expecting to go up to like 2000...I don't understand why that happened...

first off national honor roll is a joke

Agreed, PennHunter. Listing things like that can be a red flag that you're either application-padding or you're stupid :p

A C and a 1640? Definitely rejected
