I just got deferred from University of Pennsylvania ED. I'm pretty sad about it, especially since everyone on CC told me I had a good or great shot at it. I was kinda surprised myself by the kids on CC who got in with significantly lower stats.

Only ~12% of deferred applicants are admitted in April, but I was wondering if anyone knew my chances of this actually happening to me. I'm sure it won't, and I've been trying to just forget about Penn, but everyone keeps telling me 'at least it's not a rejection.' My school gets a lot of RD applicants from my school each year, so I don't know if that'll hurt me or what.

So, err...

Penn (after ED deferall)
Georgetown
Cornell
Williams
Swarthmore
Tufts

Yeah, those are basically the only ones I care about. My mom wants me to apply to Dartmouth but I think that's kind of absurd.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
