<p>applying to either CAS or Gallatin, haven't decided just quite yet</p>

<p>academic gpa: 3.56 (unweighted), 3.84 (weighted)
SAT: 1320/1600 (610 m, 710 cr), 1970/2400 (650 w, 12 essay)
SAT IIs: 660 math, 600 lit (ouch..)
rank: 59/500 or so students</p>

<p>i attend a competitive, public high school; 4 APs, several honors</p>

<p>essay: excellent
recommendations: the 1 that i've read is excellent, the other should be of the same caliber</p>

<p>extracurriculars: Key Club, Debate Team (one of the best in state), National Honors Society, Student Government</p>

<p>NYU avg GPA is at 3.62 so ur just a tad bit below avg when it comes to GPA but ur rank is alrite. ur close to par w/ others on ur SAT I score but u might wanna retake in january ur SAT IIs, although NYU doesn't give AS MUCh weight than do other colleges. all in all, NYU CAS should be a match(slightly upper) for u</p>

<p>I would put you at a high match almost a reach....
Your gpa is a bit below average, your sat is on the low end of nyu's range, your sat IIs probably won't hurt you but they won't help you, and you're not in the top 10%.
I still think you have a shot though, especially if you whip out a killer essay and have great recs.</p>
