I’d also like to know what my chances are for regular admission.

Stats:
1280 SAT
3.9/94.46 weighted GPA
Ranked 10/121
AP’s insist of US History my junior year, scored a 2 (bad I know but we had a horrible teacher) and I’m taking European History and English Literature and Composition this year. Plus I’m taking a college Calculus course offered at my school. Unfortunately we don’t have any other AP’s offered at my school, but i’ve taken every single honors class possible.
SAT II’s: 510 US History (once again a reflection of my horrible teacher)/ 560 Writing/630 MathIC

Extracurriculars:
NHS President
Student Council VP, 12, Secretary, 11, and Representative 10
Band Vice President and Section Leader
Athletes Against Substance Abuse 9-12, treasurer 10-12
VICA Health Knowledge Bowl NYS Champion
10 Varsity letters including Soccer, Track (indoor and outdoor) and Golf (boys and girls)
Plus the list can go on and on…

I have great recommendations, one including one from a New York State senator, community service hours and many awards.

What do you think? Plus do you think it may help that I’m Jewish?

I have very similar stats. 1280 SATs, 710Spanish, 670 US History, 630 Writing, 600 Math IC. youre in the top 8%, im in the top 13%. I don't have any spectacular ECs, but the ones ive been in, im very dedicated to. My essay and recs are probably average. I hope we have a good shot. Good Luck!!!

everything sounds great, especially your EC's and recs, but your standardized scores may hurt you. i don't know how much BC emphasizes high test scores, although i do know that their averages are very high.. mid 50% was 1250-1400 for class of 2008. but with everything else under your belt, you sound like a reasonable candidate for admission. :)

I didn't.... i got only got a 630. I'm not exactly the best Math or Science student. I probably could have done better if I had taken it again. Does that answer your question or did I preceive it the wrong way?

what stellar means is, how did you get a score lower than a 700 in math 1c if you're taking college level calculus? it kind of seems like a paradox.

I honestly don't know... Like I said before I'm not the greatest math student ever. I probably could have gotten higher but I didn't answer the last 8 or so questions on the thingy just because I didn't get a chance to get to them. Overall the test was easy, I knew the material. Oh well, guess its too late now.

your stats are your stats...they are good keep them up, dont stress over them at this point. All i have to stress is the importance of contact. To me BC seems to love and value personalization, as it is difficult to make 20,000 apps a year turn into a few thousand....try to differentiate yourself..send your quarter grades....send a letter saying something you are doing that you didnt talk about on your app. Any extenuating circumstances? Call and ask a question. Anything! I was told that this was viewed well by BC.

oh wow. This thread is a bit reassuring after seeing all the outrageously high stats elsewhere on this site. I'm almost identical; 1280 SATs et cetera.

I know... it does kind of make you feel more reassured doesn't it? If worse comes to worse though, we could always be waitlisted and then accepted later on.
