Chances please.

GPA 3.6
SATs
Verbal 640
Math 660
Writing 760

High school doesn't rank. But UGA has it ranked as third best in state, supposedly gives GPA boost to applicants.

ECs

Half brother graduated a few years ago from undergrad

Varsity Football, Varsity Track and Field, Spanish Club (representative), Spanish Honor Society, Literary Magazine (editor), Writing Club, Book club, Large amount of Community Service 100 hours by graduation, Honor Council, Take every AP English, Spanish and History courses open to me, on advanced/honors track for math and sciences. Also found out a couple of weeks ago that I'm getting a poem published in an anthology, planning on submitting more of my things.

I'm kind of looking at this as a safety school, am I overestimating myself?

I'm no expert, but i think you have a decent chance. I have a similar GPA and was deferred for early decision. Good luck on RD!

Where are the UGA high school rankings?

one of my friends was talking to an one of the counselors up there and she told her. UGA is really familiar with my hs, about half the senior class goes every year

For RD its a safety.

So I brought my CR up to 690 and Math to 680, for a total of 1370, any revised opinions? Or does it not make that much of a difference? Thanks

Haha...I got in EA with worse SATs (but I had a 4.0). Personally, I think it's up in the air with EA. Some people get in, some people won't. I'd try anyway. And if you don't, I'm pretty sure you'll get in RD. You have a strong cirruculum and pretty good ECs.

your GPA and SAT scores are kinda similar to mine (although i did horribly on the math) and i was accepted. Although i have heard stories of kids with 3.9 GPA's gettin rejected. I feel that it is really a toss up @ UGA but you have a really good chance. Good luck

I would say you have a very good shot at EA if you have taken a challenging courseload.

i would say you have a good chance of getting in. my GPA was a little higher, but my SATs were about the same. i didnt apply early action, but i wish i had. it may also be tougher for you to get in because so many students from your highschool go to UGA every year... and i dont believe that colleges rank high schools... it may accept the third most students from that high school if thats what you mean?

i realize its kind of shaky but a close friend of mine was up there talking to an adcom member, the person asked which school he went to and he said the one we obviously both attend, the adcom looked on a list for a second and said something along the lines of "oh, well thats high on our list, everyone from there gets a .25 boost" so i guess if yu facotred that in i'd have a 3.85. Of course i cant explicitly say this is true, i can say most years either almost everybody or outright everybody who applies gets accepted. one year we went 18 for 18 accepted, out of a 50 person class
