i know it's pathetic i really slacked off 9th and 10th grade but right now my GPA for junior year is 3.52 and can pull up to at least 3.1
APs: english lit, macro econ, micro econ, us gov, politics, statistics, chinese
activities: captain for netball team (2 years), doctors without borders, avid photographer with work to show, ceramics (4 years), 4 years of service + one year as leader, 2 service trips and will have excellent recs.

i want to get into international relations and minor in art. i love montreal so im considering this school.
thanks guys!

it depends which school you are applying to. your gpa is pretty low, so you'll need good sat scores to make up for that. that being said, mcgill doesn't consider 9th grade, and they put a ton of weight on senior grades. btw, extra curriculars mean absolutely nothing to mcgill. the same can be said for recommendations (they might not take the time to read them).

Never thought I'd do this-
D cyberschools because of ballet schedule (giving this up as a sr). 3.85 average with honors, APs, college level courses. SATs 640 M, 800 V, 660 W (ridiculous! can't wait to see the essay). Would apply to Arts.

your SAT/ACT scores?

have not taken SATs yet. thanks guys.

Bottom line about getting into McGill: don't even consider unless you have the MINIMUMs. That means at least the minimun GPA, and the minimum SATS. Don't bother with EC's and letters of rec, it's a straight up numbers game. Top 10%, good grades pertaining to your major especially, good SATs = Good shot.

V800 M640 W660 (!!- she's a very good writer!). Planning on Arts, maybe BA Psych and French. probably will retake in fall.

I'd say she has a very nice shot, esp if that 3.85 is out of 4.
