<p>Hey guys! So my SAT scores are somewhat decent, but sadly my GPA isn't all that great. I'm an Asian Female who goes to a pretty competitive school (MSJHS if anyones heard of it). Can you tell me what my chances are for the following schools?</p>

<p>Berkeley
UCLA
UCSD
UCD
UCI
USC
Northwestern
U of Michigan</p>

<p>Freshman Year Classes:
Honors Biology, Honors Algebra/Trig, Honors English, Spanish 3, Geography, PE
GPA first sem: 4.0 GPA second sem: 3.833
(unweighted freshman year)</p>

<p>Sophomore Year Classes:
Honors Chemistry, Honors Geometry, Honors English, World HIstory, Spanish 4, PE
GPA both semesters: 3.333 (Unweighted soph year)</p>

<p>Junior Year Classes:
AP Biology, AP Stats, Honors English, Honors Precalc, Journalism 1, US History
GPA first semester: 4.16777 weighted
GPA second sem: 4.0 weighted</p>

<p>UC GPA: 3.72</p>

<p>SAT 1: 2150 (670 CR/ 800 W/ 680 M) 2nd time will probably take it agian if necessary in the fall</p>

<p>SAT 2: 720 Bio, 720 Math IIC (most likely retaking), 640 Spanish
I'm also considering taking SAT Lit in the fall</p>

<p>AP Bio: 5
AP Stats: 3</p>

<p>Community College Classes:
Psych: A
Sociology: A
Biotech: A</p>

<p>EC:
Editor of the Centerspread section of my school newspaper
Girl Scout for 11 years; just completed my gold award, which was setting up a tutoring program in a homeless shelter
Secretary of the Spanish Honors Society
Speech and Debate for 4 years; went to quarterfinals one tournament
Link Crew member for 2 years
Peer Counselor
100 hours volunteering at a hospital
I'm currently interning at a dentist office</p>

<p>I think you have a great chance at all UC's save UCB and UCLA. They are slight reaches but with luck you'll get into one of them. Northwestern is a reach and UMich a high match.</p>

<p>and i was just wondering is UC GPA the same as weighted GPA?</p>

<p>NOPE. UC GPA is unweighted, I believe.</p>

<p>The good news is that you live in CA. If you were out of state, you wouldn't be in to UCLA or Berkeley or maybe even UCSD.</p>

<p>I'm thinking your low Verbal and Writing scores will keep you out of Northwestern.</p>
