Emory
Vanderbilt
Georgia Tech
Rice/Washington Univ (StL)
Indiana Univ
Purdue
Notre Dame

Probably major in engineering or pre-med. Should I narrow down or add to this list? Also, I am considering ED to Cornell, Penn, Northwestern, and WashU. Thanks for the help.

Georgia Tech-safety
Vanderbilt-match
Emory-match

Man, those 3 B+ scores in French just killed your GPA didn't they? You'd be about 3.9 UW if you had As in those.

With a 3.9 UW you'd be in at all these places. With a 3.7 and your fantastic ECs you still should get in to many places, but it's more iffy.

First, I'd consider how much risk you want to take:

If you want to be sure you get in to an Ivy league school, go ED to Cornell and you'll definitely be accepted. If you want to take more risk, go ED to Penn where I think you will be rejected, but your ED will give you a better chance of acceptance than without it. Personally, I'd choose Cornell for the ED.

As far as overall chances, here's my estimate:

Cornell--match (especially ED)
Penn--slight reach
Amherst--reach (toughest along with Northwestern)
Swarthmore--slight reach
Haverford--match
Northwestern--reach (hardest on your list along with Amherst and Washington U--and maybe Penn)
Michigan--match
Case Western--safe match
Carnegie Mellon--match
Emory--match to slight reach
Vanderbilt--slight reach
Georgia Tech--match
Rice--match to slight reach (your ECs and diversity will get you in here, I think)
Washington Univ (StL)--reach (but might be possible--especially off waitlist--I think as a good midwestern student you will get waitlisted here)--I do not think going ED will help you here at all.
Indiana Univ--safety
Purdue--safety
Notre Dame--match (although you don't fit their profile)
