Hi, I'm from a smaller town, but somewhat large school in the middle of nowhere in Georgia. It was impossible for me to take AP classes until junior year, as my school is set up. Also, not as many AP's available as many of you i've seen. I hope to major in Psychology or Aerospace Engineering.

My GPA is about a 3.85 weighted..unsure nonweighted.
My 1st SAT scores are : 610 M / 500 CR / 510 W (plan to retake at least 2 more times)
My ACT score is a 24 composite (26 english, 27 math, 20 reading, 23 science, 24 comp, 23 writing)

It has always been my dream to go to the University of Florida. Other schools i'm thinking about going to are :

University of Florida
Georgia Tech (only looks at Math / English of ACT)
University of Georgia
Auburn University

If you have any other ideas, please let me know...also, let me know how i can improve my chances of getting into UF, because i'm sure that it's a big reach for me right now.

forgot to add that I have also been a lifeguard, and will soon receive a promotion to Pool Manager. Been a lifeguard since Freshman summer.

you have to bring up your ACT if you want to get into Florida/Georgia/Georgia Tech.

Bergoo,
As a mom of twins who are rising seniors ( we live in Atlanta area), have you already contacted GaTech's admission office? I think all of your test scores are low for Tech- you have to get your math score up! YOur scores are in range, I believe for Auburn, and they have rolling admissions. See if you can plan to come to Tech to tour and spend the day- meet with an adcom, etc.

As for Florida, it was one of the most competitive public universities in the country- there are many posts on CC - check them out. It is my understanding that OOS must have a minimum of 1300 M+CR plus excellent GPA, EC's etc. to be considered.

work on scores for Tech and UGA, and contact Auburn now- good luck in all of your endeavors this year!
