Chances, please

i’m interested in the top northeastern lacs, so i’m wondering whether i have a reasonable shot at getting in. btw, i probably won’t be contacting crew coaches, as i doubt i’ll have the time or energy for a varsity sport in college

any feedback is appreciated.

Stats:
Public in suburban NY (sends about 10 - 20% to top schools each year).
GPA: 3.98 UW (we don’t weight)
Rank: We don’t do this either, but in the school info that colleges get, it would be easy to deduce that I am just barely in the top 10% of around 370 students. Students going to competitive schools usually rank in the top 5% (rough est.), but generally have lighter course loads, etc…
Courseload: Most demanding - 9 APs by junior year, with another 7 in my schedule for this year.

SAT II: Math II 800, Physics 790, Chemistry 720, World History 640 (don’t ask)
AP: All 5s on Calc BC, Stats, Physics C EM, Physics C Mech, Physics B, Chem, US Hist, World Hist, English Lang

I think you have a great shot at Bowdoin! Your scores and grades are fantastic! Your Ecs are fine-very solid. Assuming you have a good essay, I think you're in.

excellent chance.
period.

i have this sneaking suspicion that you might be from my old high school. i am probably wrong. but... what part of suburban new york? feel free to message me privately about this, if you'd like. i'll be the first to get personal and say that my school was in the capital region.

and i agree with the others - you definitely have a great shot! just be sure to work hard on writing a personal (non-generic...) and interesting essay - that's something they really emphasize. and if you're from my school, i am so pleased that someone else from there is possibly to bowdoin. :)
