class rank?

i say big reach

Class Rank: 1/~400

your credentials are good, but nothing stands out… I’d say that it is a reach school. Improve your chances by writing killer essays and getting good recs.

“Piano lessons- 10 years”

-any competitions? awards?

Your GPA is fine, however your test scores are a bit low, especially your SAT II’s. They would make me wonder just how hard it was for you to earn those A’s in some of your classes in school. What kind of HS was it? Public or Private? I’m guessing from the class size you listed it was public. Was it generally considered competitive or no? The ACT score is hurting you, but it’s good that the SAT is within the 2200+ range.

Your EC’s as you listed them here seem rather unimpressive, but I think they suffer more from a lack of context than a lack of substance, at least as I see it right now. How much time did you sink into them? I would hazard a guess that gymnastics, dance, working, and perhaps volunteering were your biggest time sinks, how much time did you put into each of these? Did you have a real passion for any of them? Did you win any kind of awards in any of these areas?

Do you have any idea what you’d want to write your essays about, or perhaps more generally what kind of picture you want to paint about yourself on your application? What are you passionate about that you want the admissions officers to see?

I think you could potentially be competitive for admission, but without any other information right now I’d say you’re on the outside looking in.

I passed three levels of theory exams “with distinction,” but I haven’t been in competitions.

Race and gender?

You have to “come alive” in your application to have a chance. Reading lists of activities is boring. If your application is boring to read, you won’t get in.
