<p>other classes: honors English, French 4</p>

<p>ACT: 32 composite, just retook it a couple of wks ago, so hopefully it goes
up</p>

<p>ECs: soccer 4yrs, track 4yrs, quiz bowl 2yrs, science olympiad 3yrs--captain this yr, ESL/math tutor last summer, National Honor Society, AP Scholar with Distinction, PFC--volunteer org at school</p>

<p>-had an overnight visit, loved the classes, not sure about ED
-also applying to Wellesley, Conneticut, Grinnell & Northwestern.</p>

<p>Looks like solid middle / upper half of enrolled freshmen, good RD candidate. Carleton would want to know that you have a strong, sincere interest in them, as you should. Carleton <em>is</em> different and fit is everything for 4 yrs in Northfield. NWU and Carleton are quite different choices. If Carleton is your #1 choice, I would consider adding 2-3 other LACs or small universities after investigating fit and school personalities because there few sure things in college admissions these days.</p>

<p>I had an overnight visit and loved it - classes, people, quiz bowl coach, campu, town! I also had an alumni interview. I am applying ED.
I'm also applying to Middlebury, Macalester, and Whitman.</p>
