although your SAT is slightly low, maybe your masterpiece essay will pull u through, seeing as how Cornell actually looks at other stuff besides SATs. Lots of EC's aren't necessarily good tho; quality over quantity.
but what do i know im just another kid nervous about college. haha good luck

lol, thanks. I'm probably gona utilize the primary/alternate.

i think they say u shouldnt, unless ur EXCEPTIONAL and would fit EXCEPTIONALLY well in either college. But i duno either

yea that whole 'exceptional' phrase is killin me? if i'm not 'exceptional', will they think i'm an idiot and get p.o'd for not following directions and then disregard my app??? aaaaaaahhhh i feel i fit both majors very well, but i don't feel 'exceptional'!!!??

I dno. I'm just dying to go to Cornell, so if I make it I'll be thrilled.

Nothing we tell you will help you anyways. If you're applying this year, then our words are useless. Theres nothing more you can do. However, i don't think your SAT score is low. Maybe it's just me, but Cornell seems to be the easiest Ivy, the only Ivy that doesn't put heavy emphasis on test scores. If you show you're passionate, you can probably get in. Now having said that, it is still an Ivy, so don't be too bummed if you are rejected.

honestly, i think the best way to figure out what your chances are is to find the decisions thread for this year's ed and last years regular and try to find people similar to you. if you look at the ed thread just keep in mind that it is a little easier to get in ed.

Kay, thanks for the support. I'm just dying to find out. I doubt I can wait till April =P

Any more opinions would be appreciated =P

Just so you know, chances threads are only here to make you feel better.

Also, "masterpieces" aren't usually written by 17/18 year olds.

The ED thread this year is scary. Applicants with 2200+ SATs, 4.0s, amazing ECs were getting outright rejected. If its easier to get in ED, I'm scaried for RD

overqualified, IMO. Plus, cornell is the most lenient on numbers i heard. But then again, applying early binds them......so i guess overqualified isnt a explanation

Guess a lot of overqualified kids

LOL.

Cornell just doesn't want a bunch of nerds ^_^

Well hopefully its not as bad during RD cause my test scores are terrible
