-People's Health Clinic (11-12): volunteering translating spanish-english for a free health clinic, roughly 180 hours

-Davanza's (10): cashier during the summer. that's it. about 150 hours

OTHER

-Commonapp essay was probably one of the best i've ever written, about volunteering at the free clinic, and why the country needs universal health care

-Supplement essay was pretty good too, told what i learned from my friend's funeral about not judging people based on superficial labels

-First rec form went to academic decathlon coach and history/economics teacher, with whom i've spent most of my time in high school. He's been teaching for 35+ years, and writes awesome reccomendations

-Second went to spanish teacher and NHS advisor, whom i also know pretty well. he's a relatively young teacher, though, and isn't as experienced in writing recs.

-If it matters, i think another person from my school is applying. second in the class and has a 2310 SAT score, but with less impressive ECs.

Thanks again for helping me out!

No need for me to tell you you have great EC’s. And hey, I was secretary of my Speech team before being President too! Haha what a coincidence.

Did you take SAT 2’s? Your SAT 1 score is fine, obviously. Only concern I would have would be your GPA, it all depends on whether or not Princeton likes everything else you have to the point that they don’t care about your lower-than-average-applicant GPA. I wouldn’t worry though, you seem great otherwise. Good luck! Let’s hope we both make it :)

Your AD accomplishments are very strong. You remind me of a kid I know who got a 5 on the AP Euro test without even opening the book as a bet with his teacher. All his friends did it too, but none of them passed. What a man.

wow, strange coincidence: i didn’t open my AP euro book either.

sorry, forgot SAT IIs

Math II: 780
Chem: 740
Math I: 700
World History: 650
Spanish: 660

you extracurriculars and awards are… wow.

thanks to everyone who replied! does anyone else have advice?

I’m not qualified to assess your admissions chances at Princeton but you obviously have the intellectual and academic ability to thrive at a university of Princeton’s caliber. I hope you are accepted.

Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
