<p>I'm a white female from the mid-Atlantic, and attend a highly ranked, competitive public high school.</p>
<p>GPA: 3.9 unweighted, 4.27 weighted
Taken nearly all the toughest classes at my school, and received nearly perfect grades. Only took 1 AP class junior year, and all honors except for math (math had previously been all honors), will take 4 AP's next year (including math)& an honors seminar. (But no science :/)</p>
<p>Test scores:
-SAT (only taken once, will take again in October): CR700, M660, W730
-Will take ACT in Sept.
-SAT II's: US History: 780, Math I: 720
-AP exams: USH: 5 (not in AP class), Gov & Pol: 5</p>
<p>Extracurriculars:
-Cross country (9-12), winter track (9 & 10) & spring track (9-11)
-Model UN 10-12, Model Congress 10
-Co-founder & president of Darfur Action Club (10-12)
-President of French Club (member 9-12, pres 11-12)
-News editor of school newspaper (writer 10, editor 11-12)
-ALPS, a unique leadership club at my school that you have to apply to get into (9-12)
-RHS Ambassadors, a peer leadership thing, we give tours on back to school night, do 8th grade orientation, etc (10-12) (can't do it as a frosh)
-Peer Counselor, apply to get in, juniors & seniors only, it's a class that meets once a week and you mentor freshmen (11-12)
-Physics team (11)
-Will be a weekly columnist for the town newspaper senior year</p>
<p>Academic Awards:
-National Honor Society
-French (National?) Honor Society
-Nominated for the New Jersey Scholars Program
-Represented my school for the National Council of Teachers of English Achievement Awards in writing, haven't yet received results</p>
<p>Volunteer/Work Experience:
-Library Volunteer since 6th grade, ~100 hours of service, although that will increase, also did ESL-type thing in addition to regular volunteer duties
-Tutor 2 students in French
-Babysitting steadily since 5/6th grade
-Worked at Dunkin Donuts full time summer before junior year, working this summer full time, and will continue during the year at least once a week</p>
