Chances Please

My first semester grades are going to be really high compared to 9-11 grades. So I hope that looks good as an upward trend.

Also what is this school known for? Does it have a good political science program?

New York resident, Hispanic male , single mother that only makes 20k a year for 3 children.(hopefully almost full ride)

Rank: Top 20% for sure. But they will do the actual ranks this week.

GPA- 3.3 (UW) I don't know weighted yet but my school going to calculate that this week. I'm thinking it should go up .2-.5 points due to alot of honors/AP classes I've taken. So 3.5-3.7(W)?

SAT - Got a 1450 the first time but I took the SAT again OCt. 4. I know I got 200+ point higher. so projecting 1650+ because I studied for this one and didn't for the first one and when I took the test it felt easier. I got a 1660 in a practice SAT i took online few days b4 the Oct SAT so hopefully it will go from there also.

SAT2- Taking Spanish and US History in November 1. Both are my forte.
Not sure if SAT2 are required. I'm taking them for another school.

EC-
Volunteered at Gurwin Nursing Home - 11th
Select Orchestra - Viola - 9-12
NYSSMA - 9-11th grade
Sales Associate at Staples - worked 40 hours in Summer and working 20 hours during school.
Tutor - 9-11

hmmm its interesting that u r a ny resident & hispanic because i would say you would probably qualify for the HEOP program at fordham. does ur SATS scores include math, CR and writing? if not than your SAT stats seem low for fordham, however the fact you are a ny state resident and a minority, i would say you would be considered for the HEOP program, which is basically a program for minorities whose families has low income...they look for students with potential...& if you are admitted into the HEOP program, u basically get a full ride at fordham, that is if you do well at fordham. have u heard of the program b4?

& btw from what i heard, fordham has a good rep for its political science program..it also has a realli good rep for its business program
r u applying at rose hill or lincoln center?

i want to apply to Lincoln center but i would be happy if they put me in Rose Hill also.

Thats great they have a good pol. science program.=]

Yes I heard of the HEOP program, It's a great program, it gives me an opportunity to colleges that I would never think I could afford.
The Sat for my first were really low. I didn't study or prepare for it but the Oct. one I did.

Btw: I just got my ranking!!!!
I'm 28/450. Thats top 6% =D.
