I read the average was between 3.7-3.9, and just assumed overall 3.8, I guess I will have to re-look.

Well on the site it says the middle 50% of students have a GPA between a 3.7-3.9 for the class of 2008. Its weird how they put that because then if you scroll up it says 52% of students had a 3.9 GPA and about 20-25% of students have a 4.0 GPA. This means about 75% of the students have a GPA of 3.9 and higher approximately. But All I’m saying is, if you don’t have the grades or the test scores, channel, most of your effort into your outstanding essays. I had several hooks: Dance, URM, etc. Make sure you stand out in some way if your grades are not up to par. At the end of the day Michigan’s application fee is only 40 dollars, which is cheaper than most colleges. It is better to apply and not get in than than to wish you had applied and ended up going to a school you don’t like.

No it is 3.9 and HIGHER, so the 4.0s would fall in that category

^lol
exactly

Ugh I’m starting to get sick of these chances things, it’s like having other people thinking for you and determining whether or not you will even apply! Just apply and see what happens, don’t leave anything behind. Show them everything you got and hopefully it means an acceptance letter!
