<p>mallen, you probably would end up in the honor program, if you do apply. not sure if you’d get the Regents scholarship tho. But if you have a pretty long school list, I wouldn’t recommend you to apply to UCSB, since it’s not so strong in humanities programs comparing to its science programs.</p>

<p>niitingale, ELC stands for Eligibility in the Local Context. It’s usually the top 10% of your high school in California. They’ll send you a letter asking you if you want to join ELC at the end of your junior year. ELC students generally have much more chances of getting the UC’s.</p>
