just let me know what you think!

oh and i’m applying to CAS

I think you have good chances with a higher SAT score. What are your SAT IIs??

What are you worried about?

Math 1-610
French (without listening)-570 (retaking in November)

and i’m retaking the sat in October.

futurenyustudent, i’m worried that my scores are too low

If you don’t get a higher score on this SAT, ( above 2000) NYU might either reject you or put you in LSP.

what’s LSP?

It’s 2 year Liberal Studies Program for those candidates who are a little lower than what CAS asks for. Math I really doesn’t matter much and such a low score on it might ruin you. Take Math II and French in Nov. Or try the ACT.

ohh so that’s what LSP is. yes, i’m definitley going to take french in november and probably math II.

any other opinions, suggestions, comments, etc?

i think you have a very good chance of getting in. good luck!

umm, is it just me or are you telling every poster that they’re going to be lsp’d?

I think you have low chances right now, but getting a higher SAT score could make a dramatic difference. I had a 3.6ish uw, 9 ap’s, 2150, etc, and was placed in LSP and lots of students in this program have similar scores. So an 1810 is going to stand out dramatically in admissions…I mean, EC’s, essays, letters of reccommendation and other things make a difference, but SAT/GPA are like the two most important factors. Keep in mind there are people who get under 2000 and get into NYU though, so the one score isn’t going to break you.

just try to boost that SAT score to 2100+ and I think you’ll have a good chance for CAS…it’s like the only weak spot in your application as far as I can see. Everything else looks good, especially your EC’s. good luck! :]

Awesome EC’s, just thought I’d put that out there.

thank you!!
