Chances please?!

Hi

Chapman is my top choice, and I really hope I get in. I am applying to Dodge for Television and Broadcast Journalism. I have a 3.89 GPA Weighted (3.6 Unweighted) and got a 1780 on my SAT's, and have taken the ACT but no score yet. I think I shot a pretty good video essay, that is pretty creative, as well as good essays.

I got great Letters of Rec from my counselor and two teachers.

I am in a bunch of clubs, NHS, French, Community, Model UN, Crew, and do a lot of community service. I am also in a seminar program at my school that is very prestigious. I was in 4 AP tests last year, Micro, Macro, Lang, and Psych and got 3's on all of them and am taking Calculus this year.

This is my first time writing this so love to year what you have to say, or if I need to add more info.

I’d say your in…
Especially for TV/BJ…majority of the Dodge applicants go for film production.

thanks, what makes you say that if you don’t mind me asking.

You’re GPA is in the average/above average range for Chapman, and your SAT is just under the average.
I have a bit under your stats (1780, and 3.4 weighted) and am going for Creative Producing. My admissions counselor thought I was going for Film Production and told me it’s going to be a challenge, but I might come through successfully. I told him I wasn’t doing Film Prod, but Creative Producing. Without missing a beat, he told me i’m in.
Film Prod is really the only super hard major in Dodge, and if you have great essays, it’s not too hard to get into another major.
