great test scores, bad GPA
you need leadership positions
sorry, you seem like the average “ivy caliber” applicant with nothing particularly unique, so you probably won’t get in

if you apply ED, since you’re a legacy you have a better shot

those SAT and ACT scores are really an achievement though  you should be proud of yourself

Your ECs are pretty lame, as is your GPA. Test scores are really good…but not THAT good.

edit: by which I mean I don’t think they’ll make up for ECs/GPA

yeah, im pretty lame and i knew it would be a stretch. so, if you dont mind me asking, where do you think I should apply? thanks!

Oh, no, definitely apply for CC for sure! Can’t hurt anything, exceptre the fee I guess.

Apply where you want…UChicago has a similar Core to Columbia and is urban, but is also different socially and weird. I applied, or was planning to apply to UChicago, Pomona, Claremont-McKenna, U of I, Wash U and Sewanee before I got into Columbia, but that is just me personally. Those schools run the gamut.
