Hi everyone,
Like many others posting on this forum I was wondering if you could evaluate my chances of getting into harvard.

My Info:
I am a white male. I've had a 5 year highschool experience instead of a 4 year one because I moved from California to the UK in the middle of my junior year and started doing the two year International Baccalaureate program there.

GPA: 4.0/4.0 in my school in California.
45/45 prediction on the IB along with perfect mock results sent in the mid-year update.

My current school does not rank.

I take higher level physics, maths, and philosophy, along with standard level English, Spanish, and geography and an extended essay in philosophy/ theory of knowledge course.

Before I came to England I took AP Chemistry, AP English Language, AP Calculus, and AP US History. 5, 5, 5, 4 respectively.

My extracurriculars:
AMERICA
- eagle scout with BSA in America.
- travel. I went to Uganda/Kenya with my English school for 2 weeks on a cultural exchange trip and to Madrid for a week on a language trip.
ENGLAND
- manage a mentoring program for younger kids at my school here in England.
- started a number of philosophy clubs at my school: existentialism forum, nietzsche book club, and philosophy film club (names self explanatory I hope).
BOTH
- martial arts. I got my black belt in karate before I moved to England and started Krav Maga when I turned 18.
- fencing. I didn't say I wanted to continue this in college, but while I was doing it I went to the junior olympics/nationals and achieved a relatively high rating.

Awards:
AMERICA
- cum laude
- spanish honors society/maths honors society
- computer science award

ENGLAND
- Harvard book prize
- won a gold award in an English national maths competition called the SMC (about 4% of the people who take it get it)
- National Merit Scholarship Finalist
- won a regional level team math competition in England (4 people working together not summing individual scores). 1st place out of around 30 teams.
- Won the UK linguistics olympiad. This is my most significant one I think--the competition had 400 competitors and now having won it there's a high chance that I will represent the UK this summer in the international competition in Sweden. Ironic since I'm American.

My test scores:
I have only taken each test once

SAT: 2300 (800/780/720) March 2008
SAT2 Math II: 800 June 2007
SAT2 Chemistry: 800 June 2008
SAT2 US History: 790 June 2008

My main essay for the commonapp was about how the character Sisyphus from Albert Camus' book The Myth of Sisyphus influenced me philosophically. Other essays were about my dream of curing human aging using medical technology.
