Apologies if this has been done a number of times earlier, but could you please help me decipher my chances at Stanford:

Profile: International Male (Indian) applying through SCEA for an Economics course. Would need 30-40% aid preferably.

Academic: We don't have GPAs. We have a major public exam in Grade X, where I got 85% (for an idea, Cambridge University says >75% is a strong background). In Grade XI, I've consistently scored 90%. My school is a private one, ranked second in the city and tenth in the nation.

Standardised Test Scores: 2190 on the SAT I (800M, 720W, 670R). SAT IIs to be taken in October (Math IIC and World History). A perfect score of 300 on the TOEFL.

Extracurriculars: I won $10,000 for an international environmental competition conducted by the UN and Volvo. Was also sponsored to attend conferences in Sweden and Connecticut. I'm the School Prefect of my school and am in charge of organising and leading all activities. I was also chosen among the top 30 in my city for attending a software training programme by my country's largest software firm. In addition, I've won a number of quizzes and literary competitions, model UN conferences etc.

Community Service: For the environmental project, I have worked for over 300 hours in India's villages, helping rural women rise above the poverty line.

Work Experience: Worked for just over 2 years in a firm; job profile was mostly secretarial and stenographic.

References: From the principal and subject teachers, these are very strong and highlight a passion for the chosen subject.

Essay: I'm really passionate about joining Stanford and believe I can bring this out well in the essay.
