Chances, please?

Hi, I know this won’t help me get into college, but I’m kind of freaking out because I really want to go to BU, and this might help me stop thinking about it. I want to major in English and maybe have another major in the College of Communication. Anyway, here are my stats:

white, female
high school senior
public school in Massachusetts
class rank: 23/304= top 10% (my class is really competitive)
gpa: 3.99 (weighted)

senior classes/grades thus far:
Physics honors: A-
Calculus AP: C+
European History AP: B+
Journalism/Media Studies Honors: A+
Art History AP (online): A-
English Lit. and Comp. AP: B+

All my other classes in high school have been honors, and I took U.S. history AP last year. I took 3 years of Spanish.

SATs: 1890 (math: 620, critical reading: 610, writing: 660)
SAT II: U.S. history: 640, Literature: 580
AP U.S. History exam: 3

Extracirriculars:
-Editor of Literary magazine (4 years)
-Secretary of National Honor Society (since last year)
-Model UN (3 years)
-Interact: community service club (3 years)
-tutoring middle-schoolers (2 years)
-high school newscast: kind of an extracirricular, because of so much time spent outside of school (junior year-I didn’t have room for it in my schedule this year)

Work experience;

 • (certified) babysitter (6 years)

Awards:
-Best High School Newscast In New England (awarded by the New England Press Association, from the BU college of communications)
-John and Abigail Adams Scholarship
-Recognition of Artistic Achievement

My recommendations are good, I hope.

That is all, I think.

I applied as an English major also! I personally think you have a great shot. Good luck!

Thanks! :)
