Extremely good writer, my essays were killer.
29 on the ACT
not so good on my subject tests (Literature & Math 1 were good, Spanish was horrible)
Demonstrated interest, I have email conversations with the admissions staff

I may not have THE most perfect stats, but I have been pleasantly surprised throughout this entire process. I have been accepted into many top tier schools already. Do you think my luck will continue??

"I applied to 15 schools, because I wanted to have options if I did not get into Princeton, and I have been accepted into 11 of them so far, with no rejections at all."

i was having a bad day until i read your post. now i feel as light as air......thank you! on march 31st i will check to see if you have a full house before i check the status of my own application.

Notre Dame, Tulane (with 20,000 dollar scholarship), University of Illinois (with 7,000 scholarship), University of Minnesota, Howard (with full scholarship), Spelman, Knox College, Hampton University (with full scholarship), Wash & Lee (unofficially), && a few others that I dont care to think of right now lol.

I don't know...some of the things you listed like '4 years Spanish' and a few ap courses are things that everyone do. the early applicant and demonstrated interest probably helps though...but i've seen stronger applicants get waitlisted.

Well bad scores (not bad, but comparatively to princeton) (I'm assuming due to the 29 ACT and no mention of SAT), then nothing really to stand out in the EC's. Everyone does community service and student government is pretty common. Just secretary? Only 2 AP's?

And I don't know much about your school, but if it is a no-name public you usually need to be #1 or #2 in your class for them to seriously consider you.

i didnt take the SAT, u only need to take either the ACT or SAT and 3 SAT IIs.
"nothing really to stand out in the EC's"...'heavily involved in theater' means leading roles all 4 years in all productions, work done at the nationally recognized Goodman theater & Court theater, etc...President of National Honors Society (which takes up a lot of time and work, we're a very active chapter)...Talent && passion are the things they look for, not a laundry list, so those r the things I decided to mention.
& my school isn't no name, i just dont want to put my information on the internet. it is one of the 7 best public schools in chicago, it is a "selective enrollment college prep", meaning you have to test to get in.
& my school only allows juniors to take 1 AP, and senior year all the other APs conflicted with the other classes I needed to take. Which was all explained in my app.

i applied to so many because financial aid is an issue with me, and i want to go to the best school i possibly can with as much aid as i possibly can get.
I would be happy at any of the schools i got accepted to. Some moreso than others, but I made sure I applied to schools I liked.

The information on your school helps. And you did not say your SAT 2 scores, but for spanish you said horrible, so I assumed you have weak scores.
I did not notice the shoes thing. The shoes donation will be a good point on your app.
I would say its still a reach.
Did you think about UChicago?

I want to go to UChicago for med or business school. it is very close to my home, and I very much so want to try something different from what I am used to right now.

Good chances at Harvard plus URM advantage. The 11 schools aren't that competitive[not to step on your toes of course or to minimize your achievement]. Best of luck!

whyy does your school only allow 1 AP? that's kinda stupid isn't it? (sorry) well how do you comprare to other ppl from you school who've gotten into princeton?

yea it is stupid but my school has gone through a lot of administration problems & changes. We are a new school, so my class will be the 3rd graduating class. With that said, no one yet from my school has gotten into princeton. 3 people last year went to Cornell, and my scores, writing abilities, and grades are better than all of theres. As well as the boy who went to Stanford.

& AY8888, Notre Dame is one of the hardest schools to get into next to the Ivy Leagues...the average ACT scores of those accepted early in Chicago was 34. Don't see how you could be more competitive.......but thanks anyways.
