you prolly have a shot at cornell, as well as all the other IVY leagues besides maybe harvard, princeton and yale.

i agree. Apply ED somewhere else cause you'll definitely even get in for Regular Decision.

thanks for the input

Where did you apply early or applying cause Cornell would be easy for you? And also, what state do you live in?

i'm not quite sure what you're asking... but i'm applying early decision @ cornell A&S, i live in NY, im doing early assurance at univ. of chicago. i'm doing regular at some other schools but yea i would love to know where i'm going by december and not have to deal w/ the horrible admissions process into april

early action* at univ. of chicago, sorry ;-p

you cant apply ED and EA to 2 seperate schools becuz ED is binding; isnt it?

"i agree. Apply ED somewhere else cause you'll definitely even get in for Regular Decision."

AASSDDFF, i don't understand the advice you're giving here.

dude...u have a 660 verbal...u are not a sue in at all. Do not listen to what ppl say on these boards. Go look back on many threads..many kids were waitlisted and rejected with much better stuff than you have. You have a nice shot.

i tend to agree with bball... i was a little thrown off by the "definitely get in" 's cuz i mean lots of people were deferred with better scores than me. Thanks for the advice though, i really want to go to cornell so i think i'm gonna stick with the ED @ CAS. Any other advice?

Yeah, a 660 verbal is going to hurt your chances at Cornell or any of the ivy leagues. You have a shot, but aren't guaranteed admissions, ED or RD, by any means.

I wouldn't give your ECs a 7.5 ... more like a 5 or less

no passion

lol, how do i show "passion"... because if that means whether or not i enjoy my extracirricular work... i really honestly do. kindly provide some suggestions as how to 'show' passion.. thanks!

random clubs + random volunteering

do things that follow one niche

yah that question was really convoluted...

well... im aiming for a career in medicine...
so that's where the hospital/redcross/muscular dystrophy assoc./genetic conferences come from

i'll try to make them seem as 'overlapping' as possible... thanks for the advice dooit

but a couple other questions:
i want to submit some artwork
how do i send it in? to which address? who do i address? separate folder from the other paperwork?

wow. is a 2110 not high enough for Cornell? I mean geez. He has decent ECs, plays a couple sports, took 5 AP courses. He's within top 10 in his school and he's instate. So, if that's not good enough for Cornell, I might as well send my app. to UGA right now.

frankly speaking, bluedevilbball, you have as good a chance as anyone of us. Apply ED and see what happens.
