You have a great chance.

I dont see why you wouldn't be accepted.

Good luck!

Sounds like you're chancing for a Trustee scholarship.

But still there are still a lot of very smart people at BU.

Relax, you're in. If you manage to get the SAT score up a bit and have another high-scoring subject test, you'll probably get some great merit aid.

As mentioned above, you might be a candidate for the Trustee Scholarship, which is full tuition. HOWEVER, you need to be nominated by your school's principal, and the principal can only nominate ONE student. So, if you are really interested in BU, ask your principal NOW to nominate you so you have dibs. There's all the info you need about it, as well as links to all the required forms here:
Boston University Admissions - Trustee Scholar Program
Trustee scholar applicants need to write a supplemental essay and two SAT subject tests are required. That Bio 800 is going to rock their socks! :) Good luck!!!

well my principals retiring this year, i know her quite well. Can she recommend me this year, or should she put in a good word for next years principal or should i see next years principal ahead of time, at the beginning of next year? I'm pretty interested in BU its one of my top 3 or 4 pics the others being Harvard, Williams, and Brandeis. But if I did manage to get a full ride at BU I would definitely go. So what would you recommend me doing? and does anyone have any input on BU's dual degree program I plan on going for Music Performance and Chemistry and teacher student interactions? Initially I thought I didn't have that good of a chance at making it, at least thats what my GC told me but then again my school heavily focuses on sending students to state schools and shies away from well known selective Privates. Also I got perfect scores on my MCAS, state standardized test, I don't know if that has any significant. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!

wow, very impressive.
You should not be worrying, they'll accept you. :)

you should also try more highly ranked schools, even if BU is your first choice. you never know...

oops just read your latest post abt harvard and stuff... nvm then...

I would have this year's principal do the paperwork, as she knows you.

Only you and your parents would be able to answer what to do if you were awarded the Trustee at BU vs admission to Harvard/Williams/Brandeis. BTW, the Trustee is NOT a full ride, it is tuition and fees, you would still be responsible for room and board.

I don't know anything about music or chemistry or dual degree programs at BU, perhaps someone else here can advise you. I do know that Tufts and New England Conservatory have a dual degree program:
NEC/Tufts Double Degree

Do make sure you record high quality CDs of you playing sax to send along with your applications! My other son (who also is a saxophonist, and is graduating from Tufts) did so, it was money and time well spent!

Good luck!

Um... Just want to say that you should be sure to visit Brandeis before you get too serious about it. I was not at all impressed.
