Any advice or input would be great. I am looking for scholarships to help me through college so that I can use my college fund for a great graduate school. Thanks!!

Firstly, you can aim higher. Of the schools you mention, none is above a fit (fits listed above are Emory, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt), and most are low fits and safeties (e.g. American, GW, FSU, U of F). See if you can find any reaches or high fits. Rice, maybe? It's a lot cheaper than peers and gives LOTS of merit money for NM.

Oh, hunny, you are IN at GW- just make sure to demonstrate your interest in political science/int relations beyond debate.

College admits are going to be crazy next year so do all you can to highlight yourself as a seriously interested candidate- because there are going to be MANY MANY students who apply for int.relations/pol science at GW

The other ones are good matches also.

Thank you for your recommendation of Rice- I will definitely research that school further. Thank you both for your advice and encouragement!

You are certainly in at most of these schools (the exception being Vandy. Maybe)...but have you thought of applying to Georgetown?

It is in DC which you seem to like, and it is a fantastic school for international relations and politics.

I have thought about applying to Georgetown, but I was a bit put off by their offer of "Political Economy" only. However, I do agree that it's a great school, and that the combined economics/poli sci major would be very beneficial.

Thanks for the advice!
