Recs- One is probably excellent, other very good
Essays- My counselor liked them both & said I have a gift for writing. Shrug.
For the personal essay, I wrote about how my love of the American Museum of Natural History in NYC prompted me to take an anthropology course at Brown, and how I not only learned about anthropology within a classroom setting, but also outside of the classroom, from the diversity of my peers... My best friends were from Bangladesh and South Korea.</p>

<p>i'd say that you have a pretty good shot of admission. i would be surprised if you were not accepted. if you are considering anthropology as a major then i think you would really like emory. our anthro department is great. you can get either a BS or BA in cultural or biological anthro respectively. i am an anthro major so if you have any questions you can PM me.</p>
