I have taken/am taking the hardest courseload available to me, including 11 AP's.

I hear that Eagle Scout is highly valued at many universities. does anyone know if Rice likes it?

Rice is probably a low reach/reach for you. Your SATs and SAT IIs are a bit low and your choice of Math I is kind of confusing because you're applying to engineering. Your ACT is fine though and I would send that over the SAT. I would play up the music aspect as much as possible because they love personality. As for Eagle Scout, I got in as an Eagle Scout but I don't know how much weight they put on it. Also, just a little thing, don't put nominated for National Youth Leadership Forum on your app, it's not important and won't help.

Rice engineers have an even higher statiscal profile than Pratt's (Duke). Look at the top quartile for Math at Rice. Most are engineers. If the top quartile starts at 750, the average is closer to 780. The number of 800's in the Math and Science SAT 1's and 2's among Rice engineers (as well as physics, math and chem majors) is spooky.

aaah ok. that makes me very nervous.
