ohhk....22 colleges.....now that's a lot :D

I would say your stats are really good.
If you have written great essays, then you should definitely get in to most of the colleges you listed.
The only thing I see which doesn't look as good as the rest of your stats iare your SAT 1 scores. But they should be easily covered by your grades, rank and SAT 2 scores.

(One thing I can quite comprehend is how you scored a 650 on the SAT 1 Math and a 800 on the SAT Math 2c....)

i was really tensed on october 14th as it was my first time giving the SAT 1. plus after the essay two c.r. sections followed and then the gridins(which were very very very tough). mostly i panicked.

i applied to 24 actually. already accepted by Luther(safety anyways). didn't get into colgate(ed 2)-learnt of the decision yesterday

I've just noticed that Nepali students are superqualified..that's great to hear.. it was usually india an singapore dominating..

Your ECs are cool; SAT's also fine. The only thing that's doesn't fits is that you haven't mentioned what you did at "Kalanki Nagarik Samaj"; you have mentioned it amongst the ECs which are most important to you but have't mentioned anything about that.
Anyways, you won't have any problem in getting into most of these colleges.

sorry abhi, but i didn't understand what u meant. if it means what the kalanki nagarik samaj does is that during the people's revolution of 2006, it worked for the rehabilitation of injured victims and currently works to promote awareness among youths about aids, abroad studies and .......
thanks for all the comments.means a lot

I meant you didn't mentioned what you did as a member of "Kalanki Nagarik Samaj".

lol, even I got rejected from Colgate ED (1).
But that was completely my fault. (more of an aid-based decision to apply in the first place)
Should have never applied with a 2120 SAT1 and no SAT 2 scores.

Though I would like to know one thing. When you applied to Colgate, what major did you apply for, and did you list all your ECs in the additional information section?

i mentioned myself as undecided. i sent in an ATTESTED resume(biodata),the activities were also mentioned in my recos.also they didn't look at my sat2 scores(i had to send them in writing)........life goes on-the great news is tat i was not as dissapointed as i thought i wuld be-owing to the fact tat the decision leter was cold.it lacked a personal touch, and they mentioned best of luck for ur senior:the funny thing is i've already graduated....

and abhi. since i was a member,i assisted in all the activities.....

titanium909, for a Nepali dude, your stats(extracurriculars) seem to be in a different league, a much higher one. You deserve to be accepted at all the colleges you have applied to. Wish you best of luck for the RD round.

Seeing your college list, I am wondering why you did not apply to MIT, Stanford, etc.???

Yeah, the decision letter was pretty cold, especially when they mentioned I was apparently not "competitive" enough to attend Colgate.
Kinda strange coming from a school that sent me so many brochures,hand-signed letters and e-mails.
Anyways, the lucky thing for me is that after applying ED I was seriously doubting whether I would like attending Colgate. So when I got rejected, I wasn't really that disappointed. It actually helped to motivate me to remove all the tiny errors in my application and improve it as a whole.
And even I was planning on applying to 20 colleges , but a lot of them (Bates, Kenyon, Franklin and Marshall, Reed etc) had to be cut off from my final list since they didn't have a major in Computer Science :( .
The problem now is, I have no safeties :(
(The only good side I can see is that I'd loove to attend any of the colleges I applied to)

I would have killed them if they sent something like this to me.
Even the responses from their admission office are very cold.

shuld i call the admision office?they didn't tell me y i was not accepted, they just wrote sry we can't offer u admission......and aritict i hope u applied to carnegie mellon-its computer science dep. is the best.

cricster.thnx for the very encouraging post.safe to say tat it made my day......
