so here are the stats...

general: female, 1/2 asian, fluent in english, functional in korean, live in an overwhelmingly white suburban town in MA

school: graduating class of 184, very wealthy demographic (but my family is by no means wealthy)

gpa: 4.43 (weighted, 4.5 scale), 3.9something (unweighted)

my school doesn't rank, but i'll probably be either valedictorian or salutatorian unless something goes terribly wrong this coming year. i've taken the toughest courseload offered at my school and will graduate having taken 5 AP's (which is just about as many as my school offers plus one extra).

scores: 2370 (800 writing, 790 CR, 780 math)... i only took them once.
740 lit, 710 math2, i'll be taking 3 more subject tests this fall.

ECs: i'm a music geek :) i play flute and piano (both quite competitively.. i actually considered going the conservatory track until this past year). i've played in orchestras and wind ensemble at New England Conservatory for all of high school... i teach flute lessons to a 6th grade girl, i've accompanied lots of things on both flute and piano, etc. I've participated in district festivals, all-state, and have been reccommended for the all-eastern music festival.

i'm active in my church's youth group and i've done a lot of community service with/for my church.

i participate in international club, bible study, and pep and concert band at school (i'm principal flute/section leader and have been since freshman year, basically). and i mentor freshmen.

other stuff: i've done a LOT of international travel (especially in the past few years) and most recently, went on a missions trip to thailand this summer. national merit commended scholar (possibly semifinalist), highest academic honor roll every semester, will be submitting arts supplements in both flute and piano.

my current list is:
stanford (EA), yale, columbia, harvard, princeton, pomona, rice, uchicago (possibly?), and i have 1 safety (gordon college in MA)

the reason i'm applying to these schools has a lot to do with their financial aid packages (BIG DEAL for my family)... anybody know of any schools that would be more safety-esque for me but have comparable policies?

thanks :)
