chances - pretty please?

I'm a junior, here's what I have so far:
GPA - 3.9 ish
Courses: AP USH last year (5 on test), AP French, AP Lit, and AP Gov this year, AP Lang, AP Euro, and AP Calc next year. I kinda chickened out on the sciences, but honors or advanced in everything else.
Rank - around 40 out of 400 something students
Extra Curriculars:
Founder and President of Amnesty International
Editor-in-Chief of Literary Magazine
Entertainment Editor/maybe EIC next year of school newspaper
A/V of Asian Club (I'm South-East Asian)
Violin - I got A's in the highest level of our state violin thing, but I only did all-county twice
Guitar - participated in school's performance night thing for 3 years
Fencing - JV for one year, Varsity for 3
Other stuff:
English Honor Society - 4 years (you have to get in every year separately for this)
Math Honor Society
Social Studies Honor Society
Hopefully language honor society and National Honor Society
Published 7 times in national literary magazine
did summer writing program at Columbia
some volunteer work, especially during the summer, at Meals on Wheels and our women and children crisis center
Tests: Math: around a 690 right now
Verbal: around 720
Writing: around 760
I'm not sure about the ACT yet

So yeah. I'm kind of freaking out about the science stuff, especially since I just dropped AP Physics so now I'm in regular. But I'm interested in Creative Writing and Journalism, so I hope it won't hurt too much?
Are there any schools you can think of that are well-fitted for me? Vassar's pretty much at the top of my wishlist right now.

Hey there!

First of all, please don't worry. You're a junior and you've got over a year to go before your application is even due. Right now, you should be looking for schools and really trying to get a sense of what's out there and what's the best fit for you in terms of school type, location, atmosphere, size, etc. You really shouldn't be worrying about your chances yet: focus on making a big list of places to check out and then start thinking about how they match your academic profile.

That being said, you look like a solid candidate for Vassar. I'm not going to go into details because, like I said above, I don't think you should be worrying about all that quite yet, but it definitely makes sense for you to look at Vassar with the stats and interests you have.

As for some other places to try, well, common schools that seem to be mentioned in the same breath as Vassar on College Confidential include Bard College, Brandeis University, Swarthmore College, Reed College, University of Chicago, Skidmore College, Goucher College, Oberlin College, Kenyon College, Wesleyan University, and Macalester College.

Thank you very, very much! Since I'm freaking out so much already, I hope you'll be here in a year, I'll be off the walls. :)
