I know my SAT really sucks and so far don't have very significant awards/grades in the States, but I am really passionate and motivated. I really want to go to Princeton because of their visual art program + good bio department. I'm especially interested in a art & science competiotin thing they have in Princeton.

Could you guys give me some advices? thanks so much in advance
p.s. I am not int'l. I have green card

Who really knows, the Asian competition is fierce. Just one thing, think twice about writing your essay on the immigrant experience as it is very common. Something about combining art and science would be more unique and interesting.

uhh "sent 6 people to Harvard last year" isn't really THAT impressive. It may be pretty impressive for a school in the buried in the desert of Colorado or on the mountains of Alaska, but it's pretty normall for any public schools that are "competitive." My school get about 8 Harvard acceptances each year but no way does that ensure that everyone at the top of the class will be accepted by HYPS. Being Asian AND foreign doesn't help you. For one thing, your chance of acceptance is immediately reduced if you are an international student and need financial aid. And IMAO told 6 months before you moved here gave you ALOT of time. Please don't feel sorry for yourself because there are many people with more extraordinary experiences. Look outside, isn't that what you came here for?

well..I am not international because I have green card.

can anyone else give me some opinions?
any advice about where else I should apply since it seems like i am going to be rejected from Pton

well first of all you need an attitude adjustment, or you wont get in for sure

can you be more specific...i mean attitude adjustment?
thanks for the reply though

write good essays

And
Get 750 for cr and writing
u should be good
your ec's look solid

take out the:
outstanding scholar of the school
student of the month in japanese class

those sound silly next to the other better ecs that you have.
you shouldn't worry too much. they will consider your situation.

just relax. two years in the US and achieving that much? that's a great plus

thank you guys for the feedback

yes I need to work on my SAT. just practice and practice and practice =((

any more opinions/advices?

bump =)))

bump

it is kawaii. a little bit above average chances at princeton, which means you probably won't get in, but you might get in with some luck. I wish America did college admissions Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese, British, or just like how other countries do it. 1 test. Nothing else other than that 1 test with no retakes. Maybe I'll see you at UCLA next year if I can scrap a scholarship or two.
