oh and my school doesn't rank...
Okay so my truuue goal is Princeton but I'm dubious..
Also, I went to a program at Brown and fell in love but EVERYONE from my town applies there.. esp EA and very few actually get in..
I'm also interested in Washington University in St. Louis, Georgetown, and Cornell
My main problem is that i don't really have any safeties/ possibly not many best fits..

Sorry this is soo loong.. but thanks again!
any advice is accepted!!!

If your PSATs were in the 99th percentile, ask your school guidance counselor to nominate you for seminars held at and by the elite universities, such as Princeton's Humanities Seminar. Also, you should be receiving invitations from many top tier universities for "scholar's weekends". Don't be afraid to let these schools know of your interest in them and your PSAT scores and grades.

thanks! i definitely will talk to my guidance counselor..

Honestly, it's hard to chance someone who's shooting for a school that's as competetive as the ones you list. I hate to say it, but the whole thing is just a game. Keep doing what you're currently are doing and you'll have a shot (which is all you can really ask for).

Also, make a list of 50/50 schools and safety schools and if you can, visit them over spring break or in the summer. Just do enough thinking/research about where you want to go outside of these top tier schools so that you're not one of the idiots who applies to more than 10 schools.

I'm a current senior and I never really understood what was wrong with applying to so many schools. Thankfully, though, I only applied to six and I'm even starting to feel like that was too many. What makes applying to so many schools bad is that people really don't facotr in the possibility of getting into the vast majority of schools they've applied to. Lots of these isiots in my grade are going to have a miserable time choosing where to go when they find out in April that they've gotten into 7/15 or more of their choices.
