UCSD don't know about the program but I'd say - safety
USC/UCLA/Cal - match/safe match
Caltech, H, P, S - slight reach
Johns hopkins - match
northwestern - match
Union LIM - dunno
University of the Pacific - dunno

Good GPA/SAT/ EC's easily put you into the UC's and USC but like everyone else, the upper tiered schools will be a crapshoot. Good luck to you

UCSD - safty? only 12 medical scholars for Cal residents, SAT min 2250(barely made it). Caltech got 6 medical scholars. HPME 35(?) spots out of 800 pre-qualified applicants. Nobody is sure for those programs, But aa6590 got good chance, needs strong essay to get an interview first.

UCSD is not a safety, especially not for the medical scholars program. That program is one of the most competitive in the nation. Your stats are great, however for a program like UCSD Medical Scholars, there really is no way in predicting your odds other than you have a good shot. Almost everyone who applies to that program has excellent stats and there is a very very small number of admits. I would imagine that USC's BA/MD program is also quite tough to get into, although USC's medical school is not as highly regarded as UCSD's, or UCLA's for that matter. Your stats are excellent so apply and see what happens. I think you got a good shot. For normal admissions, not Medical Scholars Program (UCSD) and not BA/MD Program (USC), i would say UCSD/USC are Safe Matches and UCB/UCLA are Matches-Safe Matches. However for the medical scholars program at UCSD and the BA/MD program at USC, they would be way way more difficult to get into than UCLA and UC Berkeley's normal admissions. The Medical Scholars program is likely even more competitive than Ivy League admission. Just apply and see what happens. You have a good shot at the other high end schools and Ivy's. Best of luck!
