Chances & Questions

Hello, I'm a US Citizen, and I was wondering if you have to submit ALL of your scores to McGill (SAT, ACT, AP, SAT II, etc.) , as it can get quite costly and well, just a huge hassle.

Highschool: Extremely competitive, top high school in state
GPA: 3.73 unweighted
Taken all Honors classes/IB/AP
ACT Composite: 33 (31)
Eng: 35 (31)
Math: 32 (29)
Reading: 35 (33)
Science: 31 (30)
Writing: Not out yet, but last time it was a 30, 10 on the essay (the #s in the parenthesis are my scores from last time)
Sat II Bio: 790

The thing is, I got a B in freshman year and sophomore year for precalculus, but a B+ in Calculus, and I'm pretty sure I'll be getting an A in Linear Algebra and Differential Equations. (AP+)

The Science Faculty stated that last year their minimum requirements were an A- in precalculus. I meet all the other subject requirements, and I was wondering if any of you know they would overlook the precalculus...grades as they went uphill from there.

Thank you!

Oh and uh, applying to life sciences

Same question, do I have to send in my AP scores via the collegeboard or is the self-report on the mcgill app adequate?

Anyone? D:

Cause I contacted them to see if they take honors/APs/IBs into account, in which they replied that they “view everything the same.”

However, it seems to me that it’s not quite fair to count a freshman taking precalculus honors the same as a senior taking precalculus. I mean, I’m quite sure if I were to take precalculus in senior year, I will be getting an A D:.

So if anyone can calm my nerves about this by either confirming that yes, it is either I make the “B+” cut for precalculus or nothing at all, I’ll be very grateful.

Thank you :)

Luckily for you, McGill does not even take into account freshman grades.
