chances RD Engineering

I have a 3.4+ GPA (wtd) and am in the 3rd decile of my class. SAT's are 750M 670W and 590CR. Ec's are good - played 10 varsity sports - have over 200 hours community service. What are my chances? Northeastern accepted about 65% of applicants from my school last year. Also, I know on the website it says decisions by 4/1 but do they send them out altogether or do they send them as a decision is made. Mine was sent in around 11/15.

I would say you are in. I had lower stats and I got in EA. but i am also a girl from texas so that might have helped me out a bit.

and they send them out all together

any other opinions out there?

also, do they usually send out about mid-March or could it be earlier? website says by 4/1 - but EA came out mid-december.

thx

Your ECs are fine, the Math score is great. I think those will carry the day. I don’t think it’s news to you that the CR score is a tad low and the GPA and class rank is a touch below where you’d like it to be. I’m assuming that you’re taking a challenging course load including Calculus and AP Physics, which will put you over the top. Being female or another under represented group in engineering wouldn’t hurt either.
Last year, acceptances came out on March 12 according to this site. Good luck to you.

I am taking Honors Calc and took Honors Physics last year. On our naviance I am in mostly green area, no rejections, and one waitlist. Our high school is very competitive and I’m told that the schools know that; ie, a 3.4 from our school is similar to a 3.6 in neighboring schools. I know of one other kid (similar to me) who had a 3.5ish GPA - so just a little higher. I doubt his math score was as high as mine though. My SAT’s were 2010 superscored. The 590 is a little low, but according to NEU’s website is in the mid-50th range (at the low end, though).
