chances/advice please?

You’ve got a fair shot. You have a wall of 5s on AP tests and good ECs. Do you speak and use Spanish often at home? I’m just wondering why you got a 700 on the Spanish Subject Test.

My Spanish is acquired, and no I don’t speak it at home…my Duke supplement has me as Hispanic but English as my first/home language. My grandmother was fluent, but my mother isn’t, and I have learned it in school and abroad.

Kind of a side note but I have a lot of Hispanic friends who also scored around 700-750 because the dialects and rules vary.

I’ve heard the same thing nnz1204…but, are there any glaring weaknesses about my app, I know my Math SAT is low for Duke. I was just deferred from Georgetown so I’m wondering if there’s something off-putting.
