<p>2 APs Junior year, 4 APs senior year, senior grades should be pretty good, all As and one B probably, will raise GPA slightly.</p>

<p>Community Service for the Red Cross Club at my school, and I also did 50+ hours at Reading for the Blind and Dyslexic. Relay for Life club, and JSA.
I have had 4 substantial jobs, these are what really made up my high school experience I think because my family was struggling financially in my freshman and sophomore year so I worked to get some extra money.
I have been on the fencing team since sophomore year and I was captain last year and will be this year (varsity).
I play the saxophone and bass guitar and have put substantial time in for those in the school band and jazz bands (section leader in jazz band)
I was a script writer, video director, and member of the pit band for last years school play, and I am in the theme and script committees this year.

<p>My main hobby though, has actually been film making. Mostly not school oriented, but this year one of the heads of my history department found one of the movies I made on youtube and he actually went through the principal to put me in a special senior option where I will be making and producing a real short film with equipment, actors, etc. This is what I wrote for the "personal activity" part of the common application.</p>

<p>Not sure of major yet.</p>

<p>Very good essay and good recs.</p>

<p>I think my major weaknesses are my SAT2s and the fact that I have never been able to visit NU. My grades are also kind of sporadic instead of an upwards trend, but I was still able to manage a 3.7 unweighted GPA. </p>

<p>WHAT ARE MY CHANCES? AND CAN I DO ANYTHING TO IMPROVE THEM?</p>

<p>thanks for any comments</p>

<p>Your ECs are very interesting and will help. Write a compelling essay about them and the work and financial struggles.
As you pointed out, your SAT2s are sub-par and will hurt. Also, NU recommends THREE SAT2s. Your SATs, however, are excellent.
Get an alumni interview and try to visit NU.</p>

<p>I think you have a good chance, despite the low SAT IIs. The other parts of the application will make up for it. Good Luck!</p>

<p>Do colleges even look at math I? I thought Math II is the important one.</p>

<p>Math Level 1 or 2 is the applicant's choice; the colleges look at whatever you take.</p>
