2 APs Junior year, 4 APs senior year, senior grades should be pretty good, all As and one B probably, will raise GPA slightly.

Community Service for the Red Cross Club at my school, and I also did 50+ hours at Reading for the Blind and Dyslexic. Relay for Life club, and JSA.
I have had 4 substantial jobs, these are what really made up my high school experience I think because my family was struggling financially in my freshman and sophomore year so I worked to get some extra money.
I have been on the fencing team since sophomore year and I was captain last year and will be this year (varsity).
I play the saxophone and bass guitar and have put substantial time in for those in the school band and jazz bands (section leader in jazz band)
I was a script writer, video director, and member of the pit band for last years school play, and I am in the theme and script committees this year.
Senior Mathematics Honors Society

My main hobby though, has actually been film making. Mostly not school oriented, but this year one of the heads of my history department found one of the movies I made on youtube and he actually went through the principal to put me in a special senior option where I will be making and producing a real short film with equipment, actors, etc. This is what I wrote for the "personal activity" part of the common application.

Not sure of major yet.

Very good essay and good recs.

I think my major weaknesses are my SAT2s and the fact that I have never been able to visit WU. My grades are also kind of sporadic instead of an upwards trend, but I was still able to manage a 3.7 unweighted GPA.

WHAT ARE MY CHANCES? AND CAN I DO ANYTHING TO IMPROVE THEM?

thanks for any comments

anyone? (10char)

As the parent of a child also applying to WashU this year, I think you are competitive. Ds SAT total is 2210 but her SATII scores are higher than yours. It does help to visit and interview there, and of all the schools we have visited(8) so far, their admissions office is incredible. She had a terrific interview with a senior admissions officer (a vice chancellor) and he told her he would be reviewing her application when it arrived. We just got very lucky that he was the one interviewing her, but I suspect that anyone doing interviews there would be extremely professional. Due to her really great interview with him as well as her pretty good stats, I will be shocked if she did not get accepted. ( I hope I don't eat these words!) Good luck to you

I don't think they care about SAT IIs very much, so I don't believe that will hurt you. Overall, you'll definitely be considered, but remember that the RD pool is very competitive and that WashU likes students who are interested in their program. Not visiting won't guarantee denial, but it certainly doesn't help.

Wash U does not look at SAT IIs at all
