I'm looking to transfer to Georgetown as either an Econ major or to the business school, however I would prefer to be in McDonough. I'm currently in my sophomore year. I had to transfer out of my first school after the first semester of freshman year due to family issues (will obviously communicate that with admissions). I still made a 3.71. At my state's flagship university, second semester, I earned a 3.786 in the business school. This semester I am looking to earn a 3.7+. I am also a member of the honors college. As far as EC's go, I am a member of a fraternity, the finance society, and have helped in the coordination of various philanthropic events such as an Autism Speaks event that raised over $50k, a party and basketball tournament that's proceeds were donated to Breast cancer. This summer, I also worked full time at the world headquarters of a major corporation. What do my chances look like if I'm looking to apply to Georgetown into McDonough or as an economics major? Would really appreciate any help/input. Thanks!

I know the average transfer GPA is a 3.79 from the website (2012 data). But I would really appreciate if someone who is a little more familiar with Georgetown transfer admission could help me out because theres a lot more that gets assessed than just GPA.

Anyone have any input? Georgetown has always been my dream school!

Don’t know much about transfer students

Anyone else? Really want to see where I stand on admissions.
