I'M CONSIDERING RETAKING SAT, AIMING FOR 2250 ON DECEMBER...ANY chances?

bump pleasee......i'm nervous
also, tell me what I can improve on,,, (ya, i'm working on SAT rite now.,.. SPANISH~750 PHYSICS - 750 and SAT 1- 2250, hopefully)

What's this "leadership camp - 2005 Stanford"?

it was a leadership conference for California ASB officers (though I wasn't one, i went there to learn how to conduct meetings more effectively)

bump please???????????

I think you have an okay chance. Depends on your essays. Show passion.

I'm planning on writing about my responsibilities (leadership, helping out parents, etc.) and the hardships i went throughout the high school.
Assuming that it's going to be good, how's my chance?

i think that leadership camp's open to all schools, you can include it but it's not the most prestigious of camps

your SAT II's are fine, your SAT I is good but it could use some work, if you get around 2250 that'd be huge. dont worry about the SAT II's, you're gonna be fine there. if you get your SAT up high enough, that'll put you in the competitive pool, and that's when your essays and recs start playing a bigger part

but what's with club india? for a korean guy, i assume? lol

one of my good friends is indian and he wanted me to join....
why do everyone ask this question? is it abnormal to be a korean and be in another racial club at the same time? (just to experience their cultures?) I mean, technically speaking i could be in a jewish club and be a member....anyway...let's not mess with that..lol
btw sunkist16, what do u think of my chance? worth trying?

What's your passion?

haha, i dont mean to be bagging on you for joining club india, it's just interesting to understand how they ended up there... dont get me wrong, i'm all for tolerance

i'm thinking you get your SAT scores up, your chances will increase. but really, i'm no admissions guru, and on top of that, i'm in the applicant pool, so who knows if anything out of my mouth is credible.

as far as being admitted goes in, it's a crapshoot, as it is with anyone really if you aren't a legacy with a perfect SAT score and amazing ec's. for the normal joe applying, it's basically a toss-up. but your post says is it worth trying, and if you want my opinion on that, i believe it's DEFINITELY worth applying. the only way you'll ever find out if you had what it takes is if you tried, and with your credentials, i'm pretty sure you'll be at least competitive. from the sorting round, it just takes a major dosage of luck to make it all the way through..

nonetheless.... good luck with your decision and the whole admissions process!
