chances look pretty good to me!however maybe this thread would be better suited in the chances thread

u'll be fine

i ma from bronx science too... your stats look pretty good

Are you in Vanderbilt or looking to apply?
If you are already enrolled can you tell me how hard will it be for me to make friends in a white segregated school? Also how are the dorms and food?

in a white segregated school?! wow thats kind of a harsh statement about vandy, are u sure you want to come here? i wouldnt want to be at a white segregated school.

... i am a student at vandy and although there is rampant rumors about vandy being this place that lacks diversity, i really think thats an old belief. im not saying that this school is perfect but i dont know what college is. what i have to say about this, while im not a minority, many of my friends are minorities, and when we've talked about diversity and race interactions, they pretty much all agree that most minorities at vanderbilt get along just fine. however, some of them naturally choose to associate mainly with people of their own race. i dont think thats out of the ordinary at any school though.

Ok that takes away some of my concerns. I was more worried that minorities are ignored. Its probably because of that video i saw on theu.com

Any chance for merit aid?

Bump bump.

i just graduated from bx sci in june... umm i ma gonna be a freshmen, and i ma 100% asian... i really dont think its so much of a white segregated school, i know quite a few kids tats goin there who are black/asian/brown... 9 kids from bx sci was accepted.. and their stats were from good to great... my avg was a 92 and change, merit aid can come from your PSAT, or you can apply.. but the financial aid offer is quite generous... who do you have for AP calc? do you know yet? Micro is prob gonna be Ms. Williams... shes AWESOME.. lol have fun next yr

there is this guy from bx sci a year before me... two years before you who is gonna be a sophomore said something like "vanderbilt is pretty similar to bx sci." for me, everyone mixed pretty well, there are always gonna be those groups of people who dont like to mingle with people that are not like them... either not cool enough, or not Popular enough... but i think the bottom line is how you carry yourself when you enter college

Thank you. Since our averages are so similar do you mind if I ask what your college mentor put down for approximite decile rank?

HUH? my mentor was MR. schorr... they have a new policy goin on now.. we dont have rank... didnt have ranks tat is

I know but on most apps it says if your school doesnt rank exactly estimate deciles (1st decile-top 10%, 2nd decile-top 20%).
