chances schmances

<p>I will be applying for transfer admisison. What are my chances?</p>

<p>non-traditional (25 y.o.)
1st year Junior(next fall), political science major
3.7 college GPA
Kent State University Dean's List 3 of 4 semesters
Honors College invitee Spring 2003, Fall 2004
The National Deans List 2004-2005
International Scholar Laureate Program, Australia, nominated participant</p>

<p>350+ volunteer hours total</p>

<p>all while employed full-time. along with the above, assume an excellent essay(tearjerking, even)...chances???</p>

<p>I have no idea. 3.7? No clue. I don't think many transfers are accepted...</p>

<p>I hear transfer admissions is nearly impossible; less than 20 kids were accepted last year. This is totally a guess, but unless your transferring from YPSMC, you don't have a great chance. Again, I know nothing about transfer admission.</p>

<p>they admit 2-300 transfers a year. keep telling people they don't though and narrow down those apps!</p>

<p>The number I was told is 79 out of 1,000 applicants, including Spring transfers.</p>
