-My school doesn't rank, but out of the 50 people in my grade 12 are applying and we have pretty similar stats

Main ECs:
-Theatre (9, 10, 11, 12)

-Texas Childrens Hospital Volunteer (200 hours total, senior year only)
-Junior State of America (Secretary, Treasurer, 10, 11, 12)
-Bnai Brith Youth Organization (A Jewish youth group I was in, I was VP and Secretary of my chapter and served on a few committees)

Recs: One from my Adv. Physics teacher, one from my AP Lang teacher. They both really like me and I got a 94 and 97 in their respective classes.

Essays: Should be very strong. My counselor loves them.

What do you think?

Hi,

You have a great chance. Are you applying early? Have you visited or shown great interest? Emory loves the interest - especially with high level students - like you - you will have many choices and they know that. Good luck. Our son is a sophomore at Emory and loves it! Good luck! Cindy.

i'm not applying early, and i haven't been able to visit (too expensive). I hope that doesn't count against me.

It's fine so long as you show interest. Order Emory's Video Visit DVD, attend a program when an admission representative visit your area, call the admission's office for more information about the school, etc.
