Why don’t apply more Georgia Public schools like Georgia College and State University or Kennesaw state university? Assumed you are resident of Georgia, you can get free tuition at Georgia public schools. Unless you can get free rider at Tulane or Miami, you are better off at Georgia public state for two years for free then do well in college and transfer to UGA or even better schools.

He’s applying to Georgia State.

I noticed that. But he should apply for more Georgia public state colleges.

Miami and Tulane are reach for him.
FSU is OOS public which usually don’t give fund to OOS.
Berry and Mercer are private schools in Georgia. He may able to get in, I wonder if he can get financial package to attend.

So GSU is probably the choice. That’s why I suggest GCSU and Kennesaw State. At least he got more choices.

KSU is a joke though, he’d be better of going to a CC than KSU.

OP, will you need FA?

my father resides in Florida so I may be able to apply for in-state tuition at FSU. As for tulane and UM my two reaches those are the two schoools for which i defnitely need FA aid but first i have to get accepted first. Any more input would be greatly appreciated and thanks for the input put in so far.

From the web site it looks like you might qualify for IS at FSU. However, your grades hurt you. 75% have higher grades than you and GPA and rigor of classes are most important. ACT would help but it’s secondary in importance.

i saw that fsu recalcualtes grade and i tried it their way and I got a 3.6 gpa taking out all my elective and noncore classes. Also my hope gpa is also 3.6.

25%ile of GPA is 3.7. That’s still a reach.
